The Crossing Point seeks to help restore those whose lives have been impacted by domestic abuse and see them living in hope. Using a holistic approach, we provide personalised support, group recovery programmes and outreach. We are working to see the generational cycle of domestic abuse broken, raising awareness through teaching and training within communities.
Our Vision
We believe that the generational cycle of domestic abuse can and will be broken and we are working to bring hope, healing and restoration to anyone affected by domestic abuse through intentional community and collaborative action.
Our Mission
To help restore those impacted by domestic abuse through personalized and group support and teaching; while equipping others in the community to work together in addressing domestic abuse and transforming lives.
OUR VALUES
Our values are at the heart of what we do and the way we do it.
Respect
Treating everyone with dignity and respect, without judgment, is essential when conversing, listening, believing in and supporting people.
Compassion
Demonstrating sympathy and heartfelt concern is a vital reflection of understanding someone’s journey and experiences and being able to appropriately support the people we engage with.
Integrity
We ensure that at every level of engagement staff, volunteers and stakeholders conduct ourselves ethically, morally and honourably, practicing honesty, openness and trustworthiness as part of who we are and what we do.
Kindness
Acting with thoughtfulness, care and the upmost consideration is of vital importance to all those with whom we come into contact.
Encouragement
Giving praise and encouragement to build up and strengthen those who are low, feeling weak or lacking self-worth and confidence. This is a pivotal factor to instilling hope and enabling positive transformation and change.
Connection
We recognise the value of relationships and maintaining safe and open channels of communication between ourselves and the people we work with.
