We are a small organisation, developing new ways to reach more people affected by domestic abuse and offer them the opportunity to hear the message of Christ, be healed, restored in a safe space.
One of the ways we can do this is through our Crossing Point Church Network. Churches and Christian community organisations across Merseyside who become part of our church network will be a valuable part of the healing process for victims of abuse.
TCP Church Network members will need:
- Specialist training for a small group of people, to train them how to engage with, listen to and support victims of domestic abuse
- To commit to promoting their church as a safe space through visible signposting and ensuring their safeguarding policies and practices are appropriate and kept up to date.
We will also provide:
- A listing on our website as a Church Network member
- Access to resources for your church / community venue
- Access to ongoing training and events
- Regular newsletter with updates about our work
- A charity box for your venue
How this will help
- We can connect our clients to a local church to be supported by a Christian community in a safe and nurturing environment
- Appropriate victim support will be more widely available across Merseyside
- Domestic abuse support will be available to church members
- We can share our message to a wider audience and reach more victims
- Increase donations and fundraising for our charitable work
- We can continue to engage and develop ways of working with you to tackle domestic abuse across Merseyside.
There are ways that you and your church can immediately support us and the work work we do. We appreciate prayer support and you can sign up to receive regular prayer requests from us, directing God’s power where it is needed most.
We also need your financial support, so if your church is able to donate or fundraise for us, it will make a huge difference for the victims we support.
